Purpose of the Award:
To recognize the contribution of information directed at operating personnel of water utility systems in the areas of science, technology, and water supply operations as published in Opflow.
The Award
An AWWA Opflow Publications Award Plaque will be presented to the first rated paper; the second rated paper will receive a second place certificate.
Frequency of the Award
Eligibility for the Award
All articles published in Opflow with at least one author who is an AWWA member at the time of publication.
Nomination Procedure
Because all papers meeting the eligibility requirements are considered for the award, there is no nomination procedure.
Entry Requirements
All eligible papers published in Opflow during the award year January to December are automatically considered.
Nomination or Submission Deadline
A committee nomination report submitted to the committee secretary by August 29.
Award Selection Committee Membership
Members of the Distribution & Plant Operations Division and the Small Systems Division shall appoint two members from each division, subject to concurrence by the division. The committee shall select its own chair, who shall vote only in case of a tie.
Method of Selecting Award Recipient
The judges will use a weighted formula in selecting the best paper contributing to the technology and practice of water supply operations and its associated value to operating personnel. Each paper is rated on each of the three criteria by each of the four voting members of the award committee, using the five-point scale shown on the “criteria” sheet. These ratings are entered on the rating form.
Weighted totals are calculated by multiplying the rate (1-5 points) by the weighted value of each criterion (60, 30, or 10). The total weighted rating of each paper is Vasishta N Simha remembers his theatre days with actors Rishi and Niranjan Deshpande

In the picture, the actors were seen rehearsing for the play 13 Margosa Mahal.The play is directed by PD Sathish Chandra and is based on a haunting story with a touch of humour. The play revolves around the story of three men from the IT industry who are picked to attend a conference in one of the famous hill stations of South India. The story takes an interesting turn when the three begin encountering ghostly happenings around them and their so called paid vacation turns into a scary experience.
Meanwhile, Vasishta continues to contribute to theatre and theatre-related activities. The actor recently was a part of PD Sathish Chandra's projects, which saw several actors collaborating for the project.
Meanwhile, the actor began dubbing for his Telugu debut film Odela Railway station and has been sharing updates about the same with his fans and followers on social media.Niranjan Deshpande to host ‘Gaana Bhajaana season 2’
Although it was rumored that Yogi would host the second season of Gaana Bhajaana too, close sources revealed that Niranjan has been roped in to host the upcoming season.
On the other hand, even if Niranjan has been tight-lipped about his new venture, industry sources exclusively confirmed the same to ETimes TV. Niranjan has already shot for the first promo of Gaana Bhajaana season 2. The promo is likely to be aired soon on the channel airing the show.
Meanwhile, preparations for Gaana Bhajaana season 2 are underway. The team is currently working on the pre-production of the upcoming reality show. Gaana Bhajaana is likely to premiere in 2022.
