Gupte first music album as a singer-composer Paus was launched by the Mumbai based company Sagarika Music. He was awarded as the best composer at the 2002 Alpha Gaurav Puraskar for this album. His next Indi-Pop album Aika Dajiba along with singer Vaishali Samant was also released by Sagarika. The album brought both Gupte and Samant to new fames After having sung for various remix songs, films and live shows, Aika Dajiba was Samant's first album. His next album came in 2003; Meri Madhubala which was popular and a hit.

He is also judging the show on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi L'il Champs on "Zee Marathi" with Vaishali Samant. This was widely appreciated and his clever interpretation and treatment of participants soon caught attention with Marathi viewers, who lauded his efforts. After that he moved to anchoring a show on Zee Marathi titled Khupte Tithe Gupte. The show invites two Marathi celebrities from various fields like entertainment, politics, sports, to discuss things that bother them. The show made a comeback with season 2 airing from 7 November 2012 with politician Narayan Rane and his wife as the chat show guests.

After anchoring and judging the show he moved to prodution and direction of films. His first veture was in 2010 Marathi Film "Zenda". His second venture was Morya based on Ganesh Festival in Mumbai, and third movie was titled as Jai Maharashtra Dhaba Behere.

Avdhoot Gupte is a popular figure in Marathi film and music industry. He is a singer, music composer and filmmaker. He hails from Bhor, Maharashtra and thus is the self-declared brand ambassador of the city Kolhapur.  He started his career with a music album called Paus wherein he played the part of a singer and composer with a Mumbai based company known as Sagarika Music. He was even awarded the role of Best Composer at 2002 Alpha Gaurav Puraskar for his album. He then embarked with another Indi Pop album called Ajka Dajba in 2003 with Vaishali Samant. His next venture was the role of a judge in the national level music show called TVS Saregama. Since then he has been seen in a number of remixes.

Some of his popular songs including Bai Bai, Ae Pori Jara Halu Halu CHal, Manamoracha Kasa Pisara, Jai Jai Maharashtra Maza along with DIl Se Maratha and Dhipadi Dhipang. He also sung the Marathi version of the SRK starrer film Fan called Jabra Fan. Talking about TV, he remained the judge for the show called Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champions aired Zee Marathi along with Pallavi Joshi.

He then was seen hosting the Marathi show called Khupte Tithe Gupte at Zee Marathi, which included interviewing celebrities from different fields.Then came another show called Marathi Sangeet Sammelan wherein he was the host of the show.

His career in films started with production and direction of feature films starting with the Marathi movie called Zenda in 2010. The film got applauds apart from becoming controversial for showcasing the rivalry of Thackrey brothers.  His next venture was Morya, which again had similar political theme showcasing the Hindu Muslim rivalry being created by the politician

Career

Gupte's career as a singer started when he participated in a national level competition of TVS - Sa Re Ga Ma in the year 1996. Since then he has lent his voice to various varieties of songs from Lok Sangit to Rock style songs in Marathi and film songs for both Marathi & Hindi movies.

His latest album Dil Se Maratha Hai became a run away hit with the Super hit track Jai Jai Maharashtra. His versatility as a singer is amply evident, when he renders fun and foot tapping numbers like Meri Madhubala and Halu Halu Chaal with equal ease as serious numbers like Salam-E-Ishq (Remix) and Din Pareshan. In Jai Jai Maharashtra he does justice to the track by rendering the song with a rock feel.

Controversies
